Register Now for the natural stone and building conservation conference
Network, learn and share knowledge at the CPD accredited Natural Stone & Building Conservation Conference taking place at the Natural Stone Show ExCeL, London 14-16 March.
The 2006 Conference will maintain its broad focus on New Build and Conservation with the objective of bringing together under one roof all of those who have an interest in the design and use of stone as a building material. The New Build and Conservation sessions will run from 11.00-13.00 and 13.30-16.30 respectively.
The Conference is being organised in conjunction with the main show supporters: Royal Institute of British Architects, Stone Federation Great Britain, English Heritage Natural Stone Specialist and the Architects’ Journal.
Thematic sessions over the three days range from ‘Stone in the City’ and ‘Stone the New Product In Design’ to ‘Case Studies in Building Conservation’ and ‘The Right Stuff - Stone Selection, Testing and Evaluation of Treatments for the Repair and Conservation of Historic Buildings’.
The opening session features David Heath the Chief Conservation Architect for English Heritage discussing Natural Stone and the repair of the Historic Environment’, Paola Blasi from the International Stone Centre in Carrara providing an International perspective on the UK dimensional Stone Market, Professor Peter Doyle launching a Stone Forum for England and Sidell Gibson architect Graham Lee presenting The benefits of using natural stone. Attendance is free of charge and is on a strictly first come first served basis. The exception to this is the Wednesday morning ‘Stone in the City’ session where registration must be in advance by contacting the Stone Federation: tel 01303 856123 fax 01303 221095 or e-mail

Access
Entrance can only be gained by registering for the Natural Stone Show and following the signposts to the Conference from the main entrance. These will take you through the centre of the hall and past the Stone Federation Village, Conservation and Demonstration areas until you reach the stairs/lift adjacent to stand P28 and opposite E60. Then simply take the stairs or lift to the Waterfront Rooms 5 & 6.
CPD accreditation
CPD attendance certificates are immediately available from the room supervisors at the end of each session.
