Granite from Finnish bedrock is a popular raw material for the stone prosessing industry. Some 90% of all the granite blocks quarried in Finland is exported to Europe, Asia and further afield. Almost all our raw material comes from three key quarries with a total annual production of about 10,000 m3 of raw granite. Granicon continuously seeks out new deposits and new types of stone.
The bedrock in our quarries makes it possible to take out large blocks, a clear and added value for Granicon clients.

CarraraMarmotec responds to the international market challenges by introducing important news: next edition of the Fair will see the opening of a new 10.000 sqm pavilion. This space enlargement will bring in a higher number of Exhibitors and allow a reduction of the participation fees, areal and tangible support to the companies.
CarraraMarmotec 2006 does things in a big way and throws down the gauntlet: it will increase its indoor exhibition areas (50% more than last year) to attract higher numbers of exhibitors, at least 25% more, and will reduce its prices to support the companies which are hit hard by a difficult economic trend which is affecting Italian marble exports.

Elkay was founded in 1962 in Istanbul by Mr Eliya Baruh as a chemicals importer and marketing company.
After a decade, Elkay started the marble and stone adhesives manufacturing to meet growing demands for marble, stone etc. in the changing construction industry. I am an artist and artisan who carves sculpture and architectural ornament in the typical limestone of Lecce, the beautiful province where I was born.
