A coarse-grained, light blue iridescent syenite (larvikite) of the Permian period. The iridescence on the polished surface results of the reflection of light at the feldspar crystals. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite. For the US and Chinese market this is correct but in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as syenite.

Blue Pearl, Blue Pearl Fjord, Royal Blue TFV/TFM This material has a dark blue/black background with blue/silver crystals in it.
General Usage for Blue Pearl Granites It is mainly used for flooring, cladding, kitchen counters, monuments and table tops. It looks best when it is gloss polished however flamed and river washed also look superb. Available in both slabs and tiles.
Quarrying Area for Blue Pearl Granites The stone is produced 20 km west of Larvik in the quarries Storaas, Bjoerndalen, Oestskogen, Almenningen, Arent Granit, Utklev and Norwegian Pearl. These 8 quarries are known for their good, exquisite quality. The blocks are subject to a thorough quality check before sale and shipping take place.
